Gun Violence impacts my community.

Gun violence has greatly impacted my community. According to the New York Post, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights in Brooklyn was the most deadly are for teens, with 31 gun-related deaths. Another piece of evidence is that “Bedford-Stuyvesant/Crown Heights had the dubious distinction of scoring the highest rate: 20.5 per 100,000.” This shows that gun violence impacts my community greatly because of how unsafe and dangerous it is. Finally, based off a friend of mine, Kasai Walker. His brother was shot in a store when he didn’t do anything wrong in the first place. His brother did make a full recovery but was unfortunately shot in his neck and shoulder. This shows that gun violence can affect you personally at any time or any place. Overall, gun violence in my community is a problem, a big problem.
