Gun Violence – The Toxic Culture in America

Did you know that data shows that men are more likely to engage in gun violence? I feel like media and culture influences violent behavior in children, teens, and adults. I feel this way because there have been many cases where the shooter watched, listened, or played violent things, so they do violent things. Because, kids practice what they see.

I feel that media and culture does influence gun violence in America because kids do what they see. As a baby they see people walk all the time and try to teach themselves to walk and practice, so they practice what they see. According to Study.com, “Kids who watch violence on TV act violently in real life.” This demonstrates when kids are exposed to certain things, they do it. For example, Study.com says, procon.org says, ” The teens were responsible for school shootings often played violent games.” This conveys that mass shootings experienced violent things before.
